Large Antique French Bronze Clock by Samuel Marti

A large Baroque clock of excellent quality by the famous maker Samuel Marti. It is beautifully made of bronze with hairy paw feet, an armorial bearing to the front with Lions Rampant and mythical creatures to the sides. The front has sound frets backed with red velvet. Height 23 1/4" or 59 cm.

Magnificent and Huge Antique French Boulle Bracket Clock with Original Bracket

A simply huge bracket clock, almost 5 ft in height with its original bracket. Sumptuously made Boulle marquetry of red shell veneer delicately inlaid with brass and mounted with finely mounted ormolu (fine gilded bronze). Beautiful Rococo shape with glazed door and sides to allow the pendulum to be seen gently swinging within. The inside is also decorated, fine Boulle work to the inside of the rear door and a Trompe-l'oeil effect to the floor. To the top is a finely modelled figure of Pheme, the Greek goddess of fame with her trumpet and laurel leaf.

A superb original antique French clock by the renown maker Vincenti. Three cherubs hold the clock aloft with the sunburst pendulum visible, gently swinging below. It is modelled in the round so ideal as a desk or table clock. It is very well made of gilded metal with a white marble base.

The style is Louis XVI, decorated with acanthus, scrolling foliage and cornucopia.
