A lovely decorative Cartel wall clock. It is in the style of Louis XVI and is beautifully modelled in brass. It is modelled as an acanthus wreath in which the dial is placed with a bow above. The top of the case has a handled urn with a floral finial. A bunch of acanthus leaves hang down from the base of the clock.

Magnificent Antique French Ormolu Clock Set

A very large and stunning antique French clock set. It is beautifully made in ormolu (finely gilded brass / bronze) in the style of Louis XVI, featuring bold acanthus swags, floral swags and masked urns. Surmounting the clock is a covered urn with removable cover. Matching urns form the stems of the candelabra and the arms are formed as stylised acanthus flowers.
