A fine and early original antique French ormolu (fine gilded bronze) clock by Vincenti and retailed by Rollin of Paris. The clock is beautifully modelled with finely chased detail. A very large and stunning Rococo bracket clock, on its original bracket it is almost 3 feet in height. The shape is the classic rococo key hole shape with glazed door to the front allowing the pendulum to be seen swinging within. It is green Vernis Martin style lacquer work, exquisitely painted with floral swags. To the top is a beautifully modelled figure of Pheme, the Greek Goddess of fame with her trumpet and laurel wreath.

It is classical in design, draped in laurel swags held by rams masks applied to an urn to the top. This is a stunning, very large clock with a superb gild.
