A lovely decorative, original antique French cartel wall clock. It is in the style of Louis XVI and is beautifully modelled in gilded brass. It is modelled as an acanthus wreath in which the dial is placed with a bow above. The top of the case has a handled urn with a floral finial. A very large and stunning early clock, dating from around 1770, from the time of the reign of Louis XVI. Clocks of this age are very rare and this one has survived 240 years in remarkably original condition including probably the original key. It is classical in style, beautifully modelled in ormolu (fire gilded bronze) and decorated with a classical lions trophy.

An exquisite, large original antique French Rococo gilt brass table clock in lovely condition. The case is of classic Rococo design, bold, waisted keyhole shape with acanthus leaf shoulders, 'C' scroll feet standing on a serpentine base and surmounted by a charming figure of a cherub marking the passage of time with a sundial. The base is highly polished, allowing the reflection of the pendulum swinging within to be seen.

Very Large Rococo Boulle & Ormolu Bracket Clock

A very large and stunning red Boulle work Rococo bracket clock, almost 3 feet in height. The red shell veneer is delicately inlaid with brass and mounted with fine ormolu. The shape is the classic rococo key hole shape with glazed door to the front and glazed panels to the side, allowing the ormolu pendulum to be seen swinging within.

A stunning classical original antique French clock set, beautifully modelled in crisp, white marble mounted with ormolu (finely gilded brass / bronze). The clock movement is held aloft in a gilded drum by 4 white marble pillars with floral swags between. The ormolu pendulum is visible swinging below. To the top is a pair of love birds with a flaming torché and a quiver of arrows, seated amongst a swag of roses.

A stunning original antique French gilt brass Cartel wall clock by Japy Freres. It is beautifully designed in the Rococo style, asymmetrical shape with bold 'C' scrolls, elaborate foliage and floral swags. Below the dial the pendulum can be glimpsed swinging. The modelling is crisp and well detailed with a bright and clean finish. The large dial is enamel on copper with black lettering and gold star markers. It is complete with it's original finely fretted gilt brass hands. The bezel is fitted with convex glass.

A most exquisite original antique French clock by the famous maker Japy Freres. It is finely modelled in ormolu (finely gilded bronze), mounted with Sevres style porcelain. It is decorated with a pompadour rose pink background, the panel below the dial is delicately painted with a scene of a young couple in a country scene with panels of floral swags to each side.

A stunning original antique Louis XVI style cartel clock by Japy Freres. It is beautifully made in gilt brass with a lovely original, clean and bright finish. The clock celebrates victory with a large finial of a quiver of arrows draped in a swag of ribbons and laurel with flaming finials to each side. Below the dial is a rams head and pineapple finial to the bottom.  

Early Sevres Porcelain and Ormolu Clock Set, Silk Suspension Movement

A glorious and early original antique French clock set featuring Sevres style porcelain and cherubs. It is most exquisitely modelled in the classical style of Louis XVI. Candelabra have porcelain mounted bases upon which stand cherubs, one boy and one a girl, holding the four branches aloft as burning touché.
