Stunning Antique French Ormolu Rococo Clock with Dolphin by A. D. Mougin

A stunning and large original antique French gilded bronze clock featuring a dolphin to the base. It is of the most beautiful Rococo style, asymmetric waisted case decorated with 'C' scrolls, acanthus leaves and floral swags. The dolphin sits in a shell motif sculptured into the base. Height 18 1/2" (47 cm).

A beautiful original antique French clock well modelled in gilt brass. The movement is by the famous maker A. D. Mougin. It is of waisted keyhole shape, with fret work to the front and mythical creatures forming the bracket feet. A large urn finial with flowing foliage sits on top. The clock is only 5" in depth so would sit nicely on a mantle shelf.

A superb and very decorative original antique French clock. It is boldly modelled in the Rococo style, decorated profusely with acanthus leaves and 'C' scrolls. The clockmaker is the rarely seen Parisian maker G Mignon who is listed in Tardy as working in the Rue Jouye-Rouve in 1870.

A stunning and unusual Louis Japy Rococo boudoir table clock of Vernis Martin lacquer work mounted with ormolu (finely gilded brass). The lacquer is a lovely orange brown with a gold flake. It is decorated with delicate floral swags and below the dial is a beautifully painted scene of a young couple in a country landscape.

A large and stunning original French antique portico candelabra clock set. It is in the style of Louis XVI and is designed to show the gilt bronze pendulum swinging visibly below the movement. The movement is supported above 2 Corinthian columns and an elaborate rear panel fretted with scrolling foliage.

Rare Cherub On A Swing Boudoir Clock

A super, rare original antique French clock featuring a cherub swinging back and forth as the pendulum. This is the Farcot version, patented by Farcot in 1862. It uses a double escapement to achieve the front to back motion for the cherub. The front plate of the movement is skeletonised and is visible through the centre of the dial. Height 11" or 28 cm.

A very large and magnificent original antique French gilt bronze clock set, standing over 27" in height. It is of a restrained and chic design, classical with an arched top surmounted by a handled urn. The frieze features a bas-relive depicting a cherub in a garden with a dog. To the sides are goddess masks and is sits on hairy paw feet with acanthus leave supports.
