A very decorative gilt bronze portico clock by the famous maker Japy Frères. It is Baroque in style featuring four pillars of winged mythical creatures holding the movement aloft. The gilt bronze pendulum swings visibly below. Scrolling brackets with panthers heads are applied to the sides.

A beautiful early clock by the famous bronze founder Charpentier of Paris. It features two Putti, one playing the pipes and one holding a dove, emblematic of love. Both are finely modelled in bronze with a lovely antique patina. They are seated on an ormolu and marble base, decorated with floral swags and acanthus.

A rare and stunning original antique French clock set by A.D. Mougin. It is beautifully modelled in ormolu (finely gilded bronze) and mounted with exquisite cloisonné or champlevé enamel work. It is in the classical style of Louis XVI with floral swags, arched top surmounted by an enamel urn.

An early and stunning clock by Henri Marc of Paris. It is beautifully made in rosewood veneer with delicate marquetry inlay and crisp ormolu mounts. It features an inverted mystery pendulum, gently swinging above the movement behind the strings of the lyre.

A stunning antique French clock, the large ormolu mounted onxy columnar plinth housing the movement by Japy Freres and the superb antique bronze figure by sculptor Hippolyte Francois Moreau. The figure is La Rosé, she holds a loft a rose in a classical garden, delicately depicted in beautifully patinated bronze.
