A beautiful antique French boudoir clock of gilt metal mounted with exquisitely painted Sevres style porcelain. Porcelain has a pompadour blue ground and each piece is delicately decorated with floral swags and over glaze gilt decoration. This is a large and decorative clock and candelabra set, beautiful Louis XV waisted shape with "C" scrolls, shells and floral swags. The set is very well modelled in gilt brass which has a lovely clean and bright finish. Dial is particularly pretty, enamel on copper decorated with delicate floral swags. A beautiful boudoir clock of Boulle work in the style of Louis XV. Ornate Brass is delicately inlaid into the red shell veneer and the case is mounted with finely modelled ormolu. The red shell veneer has mellowed to a lovely antique red-brown with plenty of character.

A beautifully made gothic brass cartel wall by the famous maker Samuel Marti. It features a pair of panthers climbing up each side of the clock, holding a flaming torché in their mouths. This is an earlier clock, heavily modelled and well finished. The movement has the earlier 'Medaille de Bronze' mark awarded in 1860.
