A stunning original antique French clock by the famous maker Japy Frères. It is Louis XVI in style, mounted with exquisite Sèvres style porcelain. This has a cream ground delicately painted a scene of a young couple. The lower panel and the urn finial also have beautifully painted country scenes.

A lovely antique French clock, boldly modelled in the Rococo style in gilded bronze. A mask of Neptune just below the dial sits in the midst of a spectacular boiling sea that forms the lower part of the case. Dolphins riding the surf form the feet of the clock. The top of the case is decorated with decorated with 'C' scrolls, bold scrolls and to the top is an elaborate asymmetric finial decorated with trailing foliage.

A super, rare original antique French clock featuring a maiden swinging back and forth as the pendulum. This is the Farcot version, the best one, patented by Farcot in 1862. It uses a double escapement with a half moon pallet to achieve the front to back motion for the cherub. The front plate of the movement is skeletonised and is visible through the centre of the dial.

A large and stunning original antique French clock by Louis Japy and retailed by Maison Henri Riondet of Paris. Boldly modelled waisted balloon shaped case, lavished with fine, asymmetric, scrolls and acanthus. To the top, a Rococo flourish.

A beautiful original antique French Rococo clock set by Verger Freres of Paris and A. D. Mougin. it is finely modelled with a flamboyantly waisted case covered in C scrolls and entwined foliage. The candelabra are formed of twirling acanthus branches with 3 arms and are complete with original snuffers.

A stunning and large original antique French gilded bronze clock set. It is of the most beautiful Rococo style, waisted case decorated with 'C' scrolls, acanthus leaves and floral swags. Candelabra have 4 elaborate acanthus arms held aloft on asymmetric urns with conforming bases.

A wonderful and rare Gothic cartel clock, beautifully modelled in gilt bronze. Chronos the god of time holds the clock from a bracket while the winged hounds of the devil creep up on the clock or time itself. The dial is also gilt bronze with 12 porcelain enamel numbers.

A most beautiful clock set depicting the Greek myth of Leda and the Swan by the well known sculptor Pierre Sega. Leda holds the swan in her arms with his wing wrapped around her. The side pieces are tazzas with stems supported by swans. It is finely modelled in patinated white metal. A beautiful red and orange specimen marble is used for the bases along with a contrasting white veined marble.

A stunning early clock from the famous Lepaute dynasty of clockmakers. A superbly modelled bronze eagle carries the clock upon its back, perched upon a rock. The plinth is of beautifully figured Sienna marble mounted with bronze.
