The clock is made of two beautiful specimen marbles, a highly figured red and subtly figured off white. The dial is faux mother-of-pearl, a signature style of Ferdinand Verger

A rare and superb Art Deco clock 'Seagull and Wave', unsigned but after the the celebrated sculptor Irénée Rochard. It features a huge bronze sea bird swooping and skimming the wave that surrounds the clock mounted in a bronze sphere. The piece is full of life and energy from every angle.

A Beautiful original antique French ormolu (finely gilded bronze) cartel wall clock. It is of Louis XVI in style, shield shaped with acanthus shoulders, an acanthus finial to the bottom and an urn of flowers to the top. It is very well finished and gilded.

A stunning Antique French gilt bronze clock attributed to Maison Baguès of Paris with movement by Japy Freres. An inscription to the rear records its gift to Captain R Tracey on the occasion of his second marriage on the 30th November 1887.

A stunning original antique French Rococo clock featuring a dolphin to the top of the case. It is of the most beautiful Rococo style, asymmetric waisted case decorated with 'C' scrolls, acanthus leaves and floral swags. The dolphin dives through a niche to the top of the case with a gilt bronze splash in his wake, a most unusual and attractive feature.

A rare and spectacular antique French bracket clock. Finely modelled in the Louis XIV style in silver plated bronze. Beautifully proportioned with an glazed arched door with a cherub mount, cantered corners with finely modelled goddess caryatids sitting on bold, scrolling, acanthus feet. The sides are glazed with arched openings allowing the silver pendulum to be seen swinging inside.

A fine and early original antique French drum head clock. Beautifully made in finely gilded bronze, It is of Neoclassical design with lions masks, scrolling acanthus supports and a classical urn to the top with flame finial. Pierced panels to the four sides allow the pendulum to be seen gently swinging within. The movement is by Samuel Marti.

A fine and early French empire ormolu (mercury fire gilded or bronze doré) clock. The original gilding is in exquisite condition with a lovely golden glow. The clock depicts the goddess Psyche with a butterfly gently resting on her shoulder, seated on a rock containing the movement. Height 22".
