Sèvres Porcelain and Gilt Bronze Clock ~ French - Circa 1900 ~ ~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~ A large and stunning original antique French clock. It is Louis XV in style, mounted with exquisite Sèvres style porcelain with a cream ground. Below the dial is a panel depicting a couple strolling in a country setting. To the top is a gadrooned urn, delicately painted with floral garlands.

The dial is porcelain and is finely painted with an image of a cherub with a basket of flowers. It is complete with original blued steel hands and convex glass.

The French movement is of high quality and is by A. D. Mougin. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video below to hear the bell and watch the clock running.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. Porcelain is very good with just some wear to the over-glaze gilt decoration.
