Huge Antique French Gilt Bronze Classical Clock Set ~ French - Circa 1890 ~ ~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~ A huge and magnificent antique French classical clock set, standing at over 25" in height. The clock is architecturally formed with large lions mask handles, a goddess mask, hairy paw feet and a large urn to the top. Candelabra are conforming in style with 5 graceful arms. The original gilding is in  beautiful condition.

The large dial is porcelain enamel on copper with a gilt bronze centre and blued steel hands.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video below to hear the bell and watch the clock running.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition, just a light hairline near the eight o'clock. Candelabra arms have a couple of small repairs and are slight distorted. 

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
