The dial cream porcelain enamel on copper with delicate floral swags between the numbers. It is complete with its original finely fretted gilt hands. Below the dial is a mount of scrolling and blossoming acanthus. The French movement is of high quality and is by Louis Japy. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video to hear the bell and watch the clock running. Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The green onyx is also in very good condition, there are two cracks to the lower left hand side of the clock and a small repair to the lower right hands side. There are some nibbles to the edges. Dial is very good with just some nibbles to the winding holes. Candelabra are very slightly distorted.

We then clean the cases using a technique we have developed over many years. We employ two qualified clockmakers who overhaul the movements.
