Antique French Gilt Bronze Clock Set by Vincenti ~ French - Circa 1880 ~ ~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~ A stunning original French gilt bronze clock set by Vincenti. It is modelled in the Baroque style with flowing foliage and grotesque masks. The front of the clock is fretted to allow a glimpse of the pendulum swinging within. Candelabra are conforming in style.

The dial is porcelain enamel on copper with finely cut and blued steel hands.

The French movement is of high quality and is by Vincenti et Cie. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with some slight wear and discolouration. Candelabra arms are slightly distorted. The dial is also in excellent condition with no damage.
