individual enamel cartouche letters. It is complete with the original blued

The French movement
is by the famous maker Samuel Marti and has the
maker's 'Medaille De Bronze' mark on the movement
backplate. It is of excellent quality and is in excellent clean and running
condition. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days on one wind and
strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to see the
clock running and striking!
Condition of the case is
excellent with clean and bright finish. Boulle work is excellent, there are only
a couple of very minor losses to the shell or brass and the ebonised finish to
the sides and back has some minor wear. The dial is also very good, there is a
repaired chip to the number 4 cartouche next to the right hand winding hole and
some slight chipping on the number 8 cartouche. Ormolu is excellent, bright and
clean and no losses.
Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up
instructions supplied if required. A beautiful clock to add to your collection Dimensions of clock: inches Height 12 1/2", Width 6 1/2", Depth 4 1/4" centimetres Height 32 cm, Width 16.5 cm, Depth 11 cm
About us
- All of our clocks are original antiques, we source most of our clocks in
France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK. We prefer to buy our clocks in
original 'dirty' condition. We then clean the cases using a technique we have
developed over many years. We employee two qualified clockmakers who overhaul
the movements. Movements are thoroughly tested until we are satisfied that they
will run trouble free.
