Superb Gilt Brass Antique Clock Set

A small and very pretty clock set of gilt brass in stunning condition. The set has a gothic theme with the clock modelled as a architectural ruin with flying buttresses forming the feet, a coat of arms to the front and pointed windows to the front and sides. The candelabra are conforming with gothic bases, urns to match the clock and three arm candelabra to the top. The modelling is fine and sharp and the original gilding is in lovely clean and bright condition with very little wear - this is a very good quality clock set.

The dial is superb and is gilded brass modelled in the shape of a rose window. The dial is mounted with 12 individual enamel cartouche letters and fitted with the original brass hands.

Antique French movement runs for 8 days and strikes half-hourly on a bell. It has been fully restored in our workshop and is on excellent clean and running condition. The pendulum is a new replacement. Click the movie below to see and hear the movement working!

Condition of the case is excellent with a bright and clean original gilding, there is very little wear and discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition with just some very small chips around the winding holes. The candelabra arms are slightly distorted.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
