A superb French gothic clock, beautifully modelled in brass. The clock is covered in swirling foliage and gothic motifs of lions and grotesque masks. The enamel dial has a cast centre and the original delicately cut brass hands.

French movement is of excellent quality, runs for 8 days, strikes on a bell and is in excellent, clean and running condition - it is complete with the original bell and an old replacement pendulum.

The condition of the case is very good with no losses. The finish of the brass is very good - bright and clean with some discolouration and wear. It is bright and clean and looks great as you can see in the pictures below. The dial dial has a chip by the left hand winding hole and a couple of hairline cracks, both of which are hardly noticeable.
