Japy Freres Sevres Porcelain and Gilt Boudoir Clock.

A stunning Japy Freres gilt clock featuring a goddess with Sevres style porcelain dial and panel. The dial and panel are very delicately painted, the dial with floral swags and the panel with an urn of fruit and flowers, both with a lovely deep blue back ground and gilt over glaze decoration. Leaning on the clock is a goddess, probably loosely based on Athena, with a book, scrolls and a wreath of roses. The case is by the famous maker P H Mourey who's trademark is on the back of the case. Condition of the gilding is excellent, it is bright and clean and complements the quality modelling of the goddess.

Japy Freres movement is of the highest quality and has the Japy Freres mark on the back plate. Our clockmaker has cleaned and serviced the movement - it is in excellent clean and running condition. Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright gilding. There is a small piece missing on the front right hand side of the case - see picture below. There is also a slight casting fault in the figure which is hardly noticeable. Condition of the porcelain is also excellent with no chips or cracks.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
