Stunning Antique French Gilt Clock Set by Vincenti et Cie.

A very decorative and nicely sized antique French clock set. It is very well modelled in gilded brass in the Louis XVI style. Clock is key hole shaped with a fretted panel to the front which allows a glimpse of the pendulum swinging within. It is decorated with floral swags, classical feet and a large urn on top. Candelabra have matching bases and urns and have four branch candelabra modelled as entwined foliage.

The dial is enamel on copper and has its original blued steel hands.

The French movement has the Vincenti mark on the backplate and is of very good quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully serviced by our clockmaker who has also replaced the missing pendulum.  It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some very minor wear to the original gilding on the high spots. Candelabra are slightly distorted. The dial is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
