Antique French Ormolu Baroque Clock ~ French - Circa 1880 ~ ~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~ A beautiful antique French clock in finely gilded bronze. It is Baroque in style with a goddess mask, a lions mask and mythical creatures. The front is architecturally designed with two Corinthian columns with a panel of an urn sounded by scrolling foliage.

The dial porcelain enamel on copper with a bronze centre, egg and dart bezel and blued steel hands.

The French movement is of high quality and is by Parrot Frères. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video to hear the bell and watch the clock running.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with some areas of wear, discolouration and tarnish. Dial is also excellent with just some nibbles to the winding holes.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
