The French movement has the Japy Freres 'Grande Medaille D'Honneur' mark on the backplate. It is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days on one wind and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is very good, there is wear to the original gilding and we have polished it to a bright and clean finish as you can see in the pictures below. The porcelain is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches. The vast majority of the over-glaze gilt decoration is fresh and complete with remarkably little wear including the dial. the bottom panel may have been restored at some point, but this does not detract. Please note that this design of clock does not have a glazed bezel or a back door. This is a stunning clock to add to your collection.

About us - All of our clocks are original antiques, we source most of our clocks in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK. We prefer to buy our clocks in original 'dirty' condition. We then clean the cases using a technique we have developed over many years. We employ two qualified clockmakers who overhaul the movements. Movements are thoroughly tested until we are satisfied that they will run trouble free.
